Orion's Awakening | Orion ébredése
My Final Project's location is situated on a deserted riverside at "Népsziget" - a peninsula that used to be an island on the Danube in Budapest. Eversince the 20th century the island served recreational purposes in the city's life. The plot was first owned by the Hungarian Scouts and later by the nearby radio and television factory, Orion and was used as corporate resorts. Around the regime change of 1990 the place was famous for its camping grounds. The site is currently owned by the Disaster Relief DG.
Diplomamunkám tervezési helyszíne a Népszigeten található - dunapartszakasszal rendelkező - elhagyatott telek. A terület a XX. századtól rekreációs célokat töltött be: kezdetben a Cserkész Szövetség tulajdonában volt, majd a közeli Orion rádió- és televízió gyár (Egyesült Izzó) vállalati üdülőjeként szolgált. A rendszerváltás körül a telep kempingként igen népszerű lett. A terület jelenleg a Katasztrófavédelem tulajdonában van
The whole peninsula is a flood-prone area. Due to its desolation nature gradually reconquers the area and a new equilibrium occurs. The plan aims to reallocate the proportions between the natural balance and the constructed man-made environment. The site is redeveloped demolishing and reusing the existing building stock while creating environmentally connected spaces in the liberated areas.
A félsziget egésze árvízveszélyes terület. Elhagyatottságából adódóan a természet lassacskán visszahódítja és így egy új egyensúlyi rendszer áll elő. A terv keresi a választ ezen újraosztott egyensúlyban a természetes – illetve az ember által épített környezet arányára. A helyszín épületállományának újrafelhasználásával illetve bontással felszabadított területen új, a környezettel kapcsolatot teremtő téri szituációk kerülnek kialakításra
The reallocated functions are deducted from the conclusions of my thesis. The interaction with nature and outing of the accustom comfort level all help the active recreation.
A funkciók kidolgozása a szakdolgozatból leszűrt tanulságokat használta fel. Az aktív rekreációt segíti a területen újraosztott funkciók élményszerűsége, a környezettel való interakció és a megszokott komfortszintből való ki-rándulás.
